My photo blog is now updated!

For those of you who like to keep up with my Project 365 blog, I've just updated it up until the end of March!  Yep, I'm way behind posting my pics but I'm still taking them.  If the blog is in your Readers, you'll already know it's updated, but thought I'd let the others that visit here know :)

Hybrid goodness!

I have been busy, busy, busy with all my hybrid projects and just adore this one!

I've used a little mini digital kit called COTTAGE GARDEN which is designed by the wonderful Kaye Winiecki, a fab Aussie designer.  Her designs are at The Lilypad in case you want to check them out.  Just love all her felt goodies which look so realistic when printed off for a hybrid project.  I've had comments about my sewing on other forums, but there isn't any from me - it's all part of Kaye's digi elements!  That's how realistic they look.

And over at The Digi Chick, we're running a Card Swap for the month of May.  You can earn points to get a Gift Certificate to the store or you can just submit your cards to get all the other submissions back at the end of the month.

Here's a couple of cards I've made for it so far.  This is the first one I submitted and here you can see the fully digital version that you would print off and mount onto your card front.

If you're in the card swap, you'll also get a hybrid printable sheet so that you can cut and assemble your card as you wish (see image below)

For the hybrid one, I have used some black ink around the edges of my papers and frame. I used some black cardstock for the card base. I mounted the frame, stars and title onto 3D foam tape for added dimension and I used some metal spiral paperclips for embellishment. Oh and a paper rounder to shape the corners of the purple star paper!

All of the digi goodies come from Pamela Donnis' LET'S ROCK kit which you can pick up at The Digi Chick.

Very easy to whip up a card and receive all the submissions of which some are just gorgeous :)

You've got to watch these video clips! How creative...

I found these video clips on a blog and I can't stop watching them!  I'm just fascinated how people come up with these fab ideas for advertising...this one's for a mobile phone company and it's so unique and a huge effort to get hundreds of dancers into a very public spot - a train station - to put on an impromptu performance...then they filter back into the crowd like nothing ever happened leaving lots of stunned onlookers!  The first clip is the original ad, the second one is the making of it and then they've done another one with a song from The Sound Of Music.  Lots of fun and I love the music in the first one!  Enjoy :)

Mini hybrid album

I forgot to post this little mini album that I made the other week.  I've used a digital template from Dawn Inskip Designs and it is loaded with doodles and watercoloured images.  I've then added my own photos and coloured doodles.  I have so many photos printed off so I cut them out to keep the silhouette and used my watercolour pencils to doodle around the edges.  I then took my aquabrush and used it to drag the colours around and make it look nice and colourful.  I've added some word stickers and a bit of journalling to finish it off.  Here's some pics of all the pages....

You can print the album off at 4x4 inches on 8.5x11 sheets as I did, or you can open up individual PNG files and print them up to 8x8 inches.

Mother's Day purse

I have created this little mini purse to hold some unmounted stamps for my Mum as Mother's Day in Australia is this Sunday (hop you're not looking Mum)!

These Grab Bags are full of so many goodies!  For anyone that isn't a digi scrapper, Kelleigh makes a line-only template in her download where you can print and cut out the template and trace it around your own papers.  But if you do want to try the digi files, all her templates allow you to print out on a regular printer in 8.5 x 11 inch sizes.

Hybrid treat toppers

Here's some cute little treat toppers I've made for my DS who is turning 4 on the 28th of April.  I've had to make 30 of these little suckers for his Kindy class and I'm still cutting out the photo of him to stick on the last 20 or so!  Then I have to make 20 for my other son who is 6 on the 4th May.  I've just used a flat lollypop and stapled the printed card around it and then mounted the photo on top.  They were really quick to make but the photo cutting is taking a little longer!

The digital kit I've used is YOU SAY IT'S YOUR BIRTHDAY, a collab kit from the designers at ScrapMatters (the site is down, so I can't link you up to the kit just yet).

Don't ask me why I've got one bunny and then a hybrid bunny who's a bit of a mixture of Superman with a cape and a raincoat hat!

And here's a little hybrid project I did tonight for my DS4 and I've filled it with little Easter eggs.  It hardly took any time at all to make!

I've joined Kelleigh Ratzlaff's creative team to help show off all her gorgeous templates and boxes.  You can check out all Kelleigh's designs at The Digi Chick.  That little Easter egg basket I posted a couple of days back was one of Kelleigh's templates too.  She provides you with a digital template that you can use in your photo editing program to clip papers to it and them print, cut and assemble.  But you can also print off an outline template to cut out and keep and that way you can trace it onto your patterned papers so they're great for both digi and/or paper scrappers!

Kelleigh is also the editor for the DST Insider, she's on a number of fab CT's including Jen Wilson (a digi designer but she also has a range of papers with My Minds Eye), Bella Scraps ezine and is also on The Hybrid Chick team with me, so she pops up everywhere!

Hybrid Easter cone

After seeing these cone ornaments around a lot lately, I thought I'd have a go at making one. I gave it away to a friend's daughter who had a birthday this week and filled it with Easter eggs for her.

And I am giving myself a little toot here!  This week one of my digital layouts was awarded Layout Of The Week over at Enchanted Studio Scraps.  It's been created with a brand new kit called HAPPILY from Color With Caryn.  Caryn and I have been on a digital shop CT for some time and she also does a bit of hybrid work but in the past couple of weeks, Caryn has started digital designing so I created this with one of her first few kits. And look how gorgeous the colours of the kit are with my pics of my two boys on Valentine's Day :)
